My name is Dr. Apurva Dave and I like science!

Science is really cool because it explains how all sorts of things work. As a kid, I was very curious about the world around me. I always wanted to learn new things, like how birds fly, storms form, and why the sky blue. These are the kinds of questions I often asked my dad or my teachers. If nobody had an answer that I could understand, then I would go to the library and look things up for myself.

My natural curiousity led me down the path of science because it gave me answers and explanations. I credit my parents and the great teachers I have had for instilling a love for learning.

The most important thing I learned is that knowledge should be shared in a simple way so that everyone can appreciate and understand the topic. I have created this site so I can answer the curious questions people may have.

Science explains a lot of what goes on in the world, but sometimes the explainations can get too boring. I want to change that. Science is not boring, in fact it’s pretty cool. Give me a chance to prove it.

I have a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The University of Chicago and a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology/ Immunology from the University of California at Berkeley.

I’m a pilot, and artist (color pencil) and a musician (drums and Zendrum).
